AWA WOMAN OF THE YEAR
This award is given to a University of Alberta woman or female-identified person in recognition of her contributions to the advancement of women and equity-seeking minority groups in the University of Alberta community, either through the course of her career or through current achievements in scholarship, teaching, and/or activism. Nominations of collaborative groups or teams will also be considered.
GRADUATE STUDENT OF THE YEAR
This award, valued at $500, is given to a student enrolled at the University of Alberta in a graduate diploma, masters, or doctoral program (full- or part-time) to mark scholarly achievement and contribution to the advancement of women and equity-seeking minority groups through research, scholarship, teaching, university service, and/or community involvement.
FUTURE THINKER
This award is given to a University of Alberta woman or female-identified person in recognition of a current achievement or key initiative that represents a new direction of activism, advocacy, public engagement, research, scholarship, teaching and/or university service of benefit to women and other equity-seeking groups in the University of Alberta community. Nominations of collaborative groups or teams will also be considered.

You can nominate yourself or someone you admire!
Nominations are accepted each year in May and awarded at the annual Fall gathering.
